Welcome to the Durham University Concert Band website.

 

We are a non-auditioning wind band, which is open to student musicians of all abilities. We aim to have fun whilst rehearsing and performing to a high standard. Our repertoire is very broad and includes jazz, classical and film music. We allow the band to get involved in choosing the music so that everyone enjoys what we play.

 

Each term we hold multiple concerts across Durham, often in collaboration with other musical societies and groups, both within and beyond the university. We also hold socials throughout the year to allow members to get to know each other better (and to have fun at the same time!).

 

We always look forward to welcoming new members to the band as well as seeing familiar faces.
